The best was to figure this out will require going thru each room in your place and guess how many boxes it will take. Drawer by drawer, shelf by shelf. U-haul dealers will often give free used moving boxes. Used boxes are often in good shape. Use the smaller boxes for books and heavy condensed items. Use a medium (3.1 cubic ft) for dishes and pots and pans. The U-haul dealer also has a box made especially for dishes, 4.5 cubic ft,; but this can get very heavy. Larger items like lamps, room decorations, artificial flowers ect... will require finding special boxes or making your own. Hope this helps, and estimate your box needs high.
